Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2003 Collection

Pops of colors invigorating elegant black silhouettes, Vivienne Westwood-like sets of animal prints and vivid electric hues, crazy pattern mixing - that’s Dolce & Gabbana’s‚ techno romance’ at its finest. This season D&G duo has abandoned bare belly buttons and seductive slits to embrace more masculine shapes and designs. Broad-shouldered, double-breasted dress jackets and elegant turtlenecks have thrived on the runway.

Electric-colored accessories like belts, thighs, and handbags drew attention to important parts of models' bodies, accentuating the waist or showing off long legs. Messy, unbuttoned white dress shirts implied the ‚businesswoman’ character of a few other silhouettes. There was also space for some feminine floral silk tops and tunics paired with corduroy pants or lilac thighs. The last part of the show was dedicated to sequinned tops, laced corsets, and mesh dresses that obviously had to appear in the 2000s Dolce & Gabbana collection.

The centerpiece of Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2003 Collection was definitely Linda Evangelista opening the show wearing a bright tangerine parka with detachable sleeves and a matching backpack attached to the back. Its special features are a black welt and adjustable black straps at the front. Made with nylon and wool, the garment is damage and water resistant, durable, and keeps the wearer warm.
