Junya Watanabe

Graduating from the legendary Bunka Fashion College in 1984, Watanabe, quickly found himself working at Comme des Garçons as a pattern cutter and apprentice pattern maker. But, this did not last long as he quickly became promoted to become designer director of CDG’s line - Tricot, as well as creating his eponymous brand under CDG’s umbrella in 1992.
