Haider Ackermann launched his womenswear label in 2001. He presented his first self-financed womenwear collection in Paris for autumn/winter 2002-03 and has become known for his masterful draping and avant-garde aesthetic. Ackermann was born in Santa Fe de Bogota, Columbia, in 1971.
