Maison Martin Margiela’s spring-summer 2006 collection is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable fashion shows of all time. In this show, Margiela focused on the idea of „dissolving” the structure of clothing. Each model was wheeled out on her own trolley by a black-clad assistant. The model from the first look on the runway was covered with oil. The most iconic part of the collection are necklaces, earrings, and bracelets made of ice cubes in various colors, which were melting on the clothing creating dyed stains.

ABOUT MAISON MARGIELA
Martin Margiela is one of the most impactful fashion designers of all time. He graduated Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, the same one that iconic Antwerp Six attended. After graduating from university, the designer worked for two years at Jean Paul Gaultier. The Maison Margiela brand appeared on the global market in 1989.
